Labyrinthia Tea
At Labyrinthia Guest House, time slows down and beauty finds you. Nestled in an 1847 Cape on 50 private acres, it’s more than a place to stay—it’s a place to breathe. Gardens, trails, a welcoming home, and quiet moments await. Here, comfort isn’t offered—it’s understood.
Teas that tell a story.
Labyrinthia Teas are grown organically here in Ripley. The herbs are harvested at their peak, washed, and dehydrated as soon after harvest for the most potent herbal teas possible. From growing the herbs to harvesting and preparing them, it is all done by hand. Only the highest quality plants and leaves are used.
Our herbs are grown without being pushed with fertilizers, even organic ones. The soil here at Labyrinthia Guest House gardens is high in nutrients and in organic matter, having been composted for decades. Herbal teas offer many health benefits and are known to have medicinal qualities too. Many are amazingly refreshing and offer an array of tastes. Most herbal teas are caffeine-free.
Initially, we offer Stinging Nettle (Urtica dioica), Plantain (Plantago major), and Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) herbal teas. The former dining room here on the property is now the Labyrinthia Tearoom. For guest stays, the Labyrinthia Tearoom facing the deck is open 24/7. Here, our own teas and commercial teas too, are available. Including actual tea from the Camellia sinensis shrub of Asian fame.
Visitors to Labyrinthia Guest House are free to roam the gardens and walk the labyrinth. There is always something blooming in the garden, and you can see the plants that make the tea. Be careful with the Stinging Nettles. When green and fresh, they bite.
